MH 370 The Desperate Cries Chapter 3

MH 370 The Desperate Cries

It had been 24 hours since anyone had heard from the plane. The airport, once bustling with travelers, was now filled with worried faces. Families waited anxiously for news. Children clung to their mothers, hoping their fathers would walk through the doors. Wives stared at their phones, praying for a call from their husbands. Among the 239 passengers on board were soldiers, students, and families. Every second of silence felt like an eternity.

Malaysia Airlines arranged for the families to rest at a
nearby hotel. There, the airline's CEO gave a statement. His words were heavy, his voice cracking as he spoke. “We have no leads on the plane’s location,” he admitted. The room erupted in gasps and whispers. It was as though time had stopped. In the chaos, some family members tried calling their loved ones. To their shock, many calls went through. Phones rang, yet there was no answer. One man shouted, “Why is it ringing? If the plane crashed, how are the phones working?” The mystery deepened.

Then it happened. A young girl’s phone lit up. The screen displayed the name "Baba." Her father’s name. Trembling, she screamed, “It’s him! What do I do?” Everyone rushed toward her as she answered the call. But all she heard was static. Faintly, beneath the crackling noise, there were muffled screams. A chill ran through the crowd. Before anyone could react, the call cut off.

“What’s going on?” someone shouted. People started panicking, dialing their loved ones repeatedly. More calls connected, but the results were always the same—static, faint cries, and then silence.

The question hung heavy in the air: Where was the plane? What was happening? The hotel room felt colder, the air heavier, as the mystery only grew. Somewhere out there, in the vast sky or deep ocean, the truth was lurking. And it wasn’t ready to reveal itself.
